Author Guidelines

The Article Connection portion of connectionteam.com is a collection of links to free reprint articles that have been submitted by the author or an authorized agent of the author.

The purpose of this service is to connect authors of free content with potential publishers. We do not post the actual article. We post links to the specific page where the article appears on the author's web site. In this manner, the author receives the web site traffic.

Publishers will reprint the articles in their ezines or on their web sites according to the publishing guidelines.

Visitors to connectionteam.com will read and evaluate the articles at the author's site. Therefore, many of these guidelines pertain to the author's site.

This is a free service. There is no charge to submit articles. There is no charge for their use. No compensation is paid to the authors.

What we do with your article:

All submissions are read and reviewed for compliance with these guidelines before the links are posted. No submission is automatically uploaded to connectionteam.com .

Once a submission has been accepted:

Your article's links are made available to visitors of connectionteam.com to be used as stated in our publishers' guidelines.

Your links remain on connectionteam.com for a period of 30 days. They may be resubmitted ONLY at the end of that time.

Articles submitted at connectionteam.com will not be edited in any way by us or by the publisher.

Acceptable submissions are normally posted within 24 to 48 hours.

Repeated non-compliant submissions will result in the author being banned from submitting to connectionteam.com, The Article Connection.

The Author's responsibility:

You must be the writer and copyright holder of the article. If you didn't write it, don't submit it.

No "rebranded" content. Connectionteam.com , the Article Connection Update does not accept articles that are part of a "rebrandable" or "private label" bundle.

No free reports

Articles giving credit only to a business name will not be accepted.

Ghostwritten articles to which you own EXCLUSIVE copyright are acceptable.

Make sure grammar, punctuation and spelling corrections have been made prior to submission. Any articles containing multiple errors will not be posted.

Check your submission information for mistakes.

Be sure that your submissions are completely compliant with all of these guidelines. If not, your submission may (and probably will) be deleted without notice.

Read the Publisher Guidelines so you know what publishers are agreeing to do with your work.

The article (GENERAL):

In order to be qualified for consideration, an article must:

Be present on a page on YOUR (the author's) site.

Exception: If you (the author) wish to submit your article's link as it appears in an article archive or article bank, you may do so. However, the site belonging to the article bank MUST comply with these requirements, i.e.: contact information, etc.

It must fall within one of these topics: Business, Personal Development, Health and Wellness or Writing.

The Body (content):

No sales letters. The insertion of ANY wording that encourages a reader to purchase a product or service or go to the author's web site for "further information" is judged as a sales letter by connectionteam.com , period.

No press releases. There are numerous other places where you may submit these.

The article body may not contain affiliate links. (The resource box is where you place these)

Your article may not contain links to sales pages of your website.

You may not place advertising within the text of your article.

Your Article MUST NOT promote or contain:

fax blasting

sending UCE

purchasing email lists.

Adult Content

Illegal activities (chain letters, gifting, etc)

Discrimination in any form

Hate or violence

Astrology, occult or psychic content

profanity

Any other objectionable material

The Author's site:

The following standards that must be met by the web site where the article appears. (This also applies to any links contained in the resource box)

General:

Site's ownership and complete contact information must be clearly visible and easily located. The author of the article must be clearly associated with the web site. Contact information includes, author's name or business name, address, phone number and email address. There are no exceptions to this provision.

The source website must not promote or contain:

fax blasting

sending of UCE

buying email lists

Adult Content

Illegal activities (chain letters, gifting, etc)

Discrimination in any form

Hate or violence

Astrology, occult or psychic content

profanity

Any other objectionable material

The resource box must be clearly posted on the same page as the article, preferably immediately following the article.

The author's name must be clearly posted with the article. This may appear just below the title, in the resource box or both.

Your site's visitors must not be required to enter personal information in order to view the article.

The article may not be offered only as a downloadable file.

PDF files are not accepted.

If you post a permission statement on your site that differs from the guidelines posted here, your submission will not be included. For instance, if your permission statement requires written permission, then don't submit here.

The resource box:

(required on your web site copy AND your copy)

May not contain links to web sites that do not have a prominent display of the site's ownership and complete contact information.

Must contain the name of the author (if it is not placed below the title)

Must contain copyright information (if it is not placed below the title)

May not contain links to web sites whose content violates any other portion of this agreement.

Policy regarding notification:

If your submission is rejected due to a clear violation of these guidelines, you will not be notified.

You will not be notified if the reason for rejection is that you clearly did not proofread or run spell check on your article.

You will not be notified of errors caused by misuse, misunderstanding or abuse of auto-submission software. You bought it. Learn it!

You will not be notified of rejection due to errors by a distribution service. The service made the mistake, not you.

You will be notified if your submission is rejected due to typographical errors in the submission information.

The agreement:

You agree to fully adhere to the submission guidelines listed here.

You agree that submitting your work is not a guarantee that it will be posted. No article that fits these guidelines and is reasonably well-written will be rejected. If your article is rejected for reasons other than guidelines violations, you will be notified of the reason so you can fix the problem and resubmit, if you choose. Connection Team, Article Connection Update and Cathy Fothergill reserve the right to reject any article submitted.
